Where is the Cheapest and the Best Place to Buy Your Engagement Ring?

Posted by Site Admin Bridal Jewelry, Diamond 0

You have finally decided it is time to confirm your commitment to your partner and now you are looking to buy the perfect engagement ring. Obviously, you have certain things in mind and have decided upon a budget too. Jewelry stores are a dime a dozen, but you need the most affordable jewelry and the best quality you can get for that price.

That’s where Velasquez Jewelers comes in. Whatever you want or need in your ring, we have it. And whatever kind of price you need, we will strive to make your wish come true.

Diamonds are the traditional stones that are used in engagement rings. And you must have already decided what size to buy and what kind of diamond to get. But maybe you have little idea regarding diamonds and rings, and are looking for someone to guide you through it all.

The “4Cs” of buying a diamond are generally considered to be the rule of thumb when buying a diamond. They are:

Carat: Carat is the basic unit of measurement of the weight of a particular diamond. You may have heard people discussing carats when it comes to diamonds, because that is generally the term most people are familiar with. The size of the diamond is an important decision to make; bigger is not always better, and you need to think about your partner when deciding the size of the diamond.

Cut: Cut goes a long way in determining how your diamond looks. Girls like it when the light dances brilliantly off the diamonds, and a sparkly and shining diamond stands out. This can be determined by the cut. A well-cut diamond will shine brighter than a diamond that has been poorly cut.

Clarity: Clarity is the degree of flaws a diamond has. The clarity ranges from Flawless (FL) to Included (I). As long as a diamond doesn’t have obvious visual flaws, people tend to go for it. A good way to save here is to go for a diamond with small inclusions (SI) or very, very small inclusion (VVS). These imperfections cannot be seen by the naked eye anyway, and can provide great value for when you are buying a diamond.

Color: The color of a diamond ranges from colorless (D) to yellow (Z). G to J is the preferable range when buying a diamond since it provides the greatest value while showing no naked eye discernibility in color from the D-colored diamond. The color grades H and I especially can provide you the best value.

Now all those factors can make it difficult to decide on the perfect diamond.
